The case:
Our client was involved in an incident whilst driving on a roundabout. A 3rd party entered the roundabout and failed to give way correctly to our client, which caused a collision with the rear of our client’s vehicle and resulted in substantial damage.
Repairs to the vehicle took just short of 3 months to complete, and as our client needed a replacement vehicle during this time for work purposes, hire charges in excess of £21,000 were accumulated.
Despite being prepared for a court hearing which was postponed, negotiations were ongoing, and we were able to settle the case without consequences and no further costs were accrued.
