True supports Newcastle West End Foodbank

The team and partners at TRUE Solicitors LLP, have once again kindly supported Newcastle’s West End Foodbank Christmas appeal, this year headed up with a video from Hairy Biker Si King.
Newcastle West End Foodbank is part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, whose mission is to combat poverty and hunger across the UK. The foodbank is committed to providing emergency food and support to local people in times of crisis.
The foodbank celebrated it’s 10th anniversary back in September, and have seen a 39% increase in food parcels provided over the last 12 months alone, proving that the support they provide across their 7 locations in the North East is more vital than ever.
On Monday 11th December, 15 boxes of essential food items, toiletries and baby products were handed over to the foodbank to contribute to the 8,500 parcels the team expect to deliver between December and February.
In addition to the items donated, thanks to the team donating money in aid of Christmas Jumper Day on the 7th December, we were also pleased to make a monetary donation of £167 to the Newcastle Foodbank team at St. James’s Park which will be doubled by Jamie Reuben co-owner of NUFC . A further £200 was donated by our firm in lieu of sending Christmas cards this year.
