On Tuesday 30th September, we once again held our annual charity day in our offices based in Newcastle, hosted by the True social and fundraising committee of volunteers.
This year our aim was to raise as much money as possible for our 2025 nominated charity Daft as a Brush. The charity, Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care, specialise in transporting cancer patients to and from hospital for their Chemotherapy and / or Radiotherapy treatment, free of charge.
The usual favourite activities took place including a raffle, a tombola, a big fat quiz of the year and the infamous bake sale. We also hosted a True bake off with 2 of our partners taking on the role of Pru and Paul and a Nintendo Switch sports day.
A fantastic day of fun was had by all and we were delighted to raise an incredible £2,880.40 on the day, added to the £1,899.00 we raised through the year from raffles, bonus balls draws and other fundraising activities, making a grand total raised of £4,779.40. We initially set a target for the 12 months of £2,000, and we smashed it by 238%.
