At his place of work, our client was using a polisher machine with a buffer which rotated at high speed to polish a metal A frame. Part of the A frame got caught in the buffer, causing it to be wrenched from our client’s hands, hitting him with force across the face.
Our client suffered cuts and a broken nose and damage to the left eye by way of a cut to the tearduct. Further investigations revealed the lens inside his left eye was detached, and our client endured several months of ongoing medical appointments in relation to the damage to his eye along with a procedure to remove the floating lens.
He has been left with no vision in his left eye without the use of a contact lens.
True were successful in recovering compensation for the client and the injuries suffered totalling £32,500.
